BRANDING & DIGITAL DESIGN

A total brand makeover -- website, logo, brand book, and social media.

PROBLEM

elizabethcarl LIFESTYLE is a full service lifestyle management company that combines interior, event, home, and office services into one brand. The company had no digital presence -- no website, social media, or branding. Clients were primarily personal referrals or friends.

SOLUTION

Uniting all four services -- interior, event, home, and office -- into a cohesive design that will broaden the client base and increase the knowledge of the brand. This is done by creating a website, branding and brand book, and social media strategy and platforms.

01. BRANDING

In order to determine how to showcase the brand, I did a competitive analysis of interior design, event planning, and lifestyle management companies, created user personas for the specific target audiences, and discussed visions with the owner. Her goal was to create a logo and color palette that reflects her own personal style while also tying together all four aspects of the company: interiors, events, homes and offices.

LOGO CREATION & THOUGHT PROCESS

BRAINSTORMING STAGES OF LOGO CREATION

After days of brainstorming and creating endless variations of logos, we decided on a color palette and logo variations that will appeal to all four target markets and exhibit her design style -- a sleek, clean design with neutral tones and variation in font and capitalization to add a touch of spunk to the brand.

FINALIZED COLOR PALETTE

Due to the varying amount of services, we decided to create a primary and secondary logo. Additionally, the service specific logos can be used during individual projects for contracts, apparel, labels, etc. The monogram can be used as an additional visual to represent the brand.

BRAND BOOK

Combining all of the factors that go into a brand -- the mission, logos, color palette, typefaces, communication guidelines, and so on  -- I compiled all of the specifics into a Brand Book that details every aspect of the elizabethcarl LIFESTYLE brand.

This is my site map, which shows how I brainstormed the organization of my website layout. There are so many services that are going to be listed within the site so I had to organize them under specific navigation titles. Liz Carl wanted three main page links in the nav, “lizcarl Home” for all of the lifestyle, organization, and property/home/residential management; “lizcarl Interiors” for the interior decorating, and “lizcarl Events” for the event planning services.

After creating my sitemap, I created a wireframe for how I want the layout of the website to look. She wants to include all photos and testimonials (as well as the introduction/about) on the homepage because she does not have that many and she doesn’t want the nav to look cluttered.
